Obviously, Microsoft is working its way out of the marketplace as a contender in desktop publishing by trying to dictate to the publishing industry how it should behave. Every commercial publisher I work with requires final publications in CMYK color format with many getting better results when the publication is exported to jpeg or other suitable final publishing format.

The new features of Publisher 2016, that one might initially perceive is expanding Publisher's flexibility, aren't features; rather the programmer's changes severely limit the product's capabilities to be a reliable, economical platform for Office365 users. Guess I'll go buy Adobe or other suitable product that provides the flexibility I, and so many others apparently, require.

Put the capabilities originally designed in the product back into the product, Microsoft! Take the blinders off and be a contender by incorporating the old capabilities with the new. Old printers aren't going away quickly because they've invested 10's of 1,000's of dollars in quality equipment yesterday to give their clients superior products and services well into the future. They aren't going to buy high-end equipment to replace the old proven, reliable presses anytime soon!
